Ascesa Valtellina Sforzato 2019

Valtellina is an alpine valley in the extreme north of Italy. The Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) grape grows on south facing terraces at altitudes exceeding 1,900 feet. Sforzato or Sfursat wines are made using the centuries old tradition of drying grapes in wooden boxes to concentrate flavors and add rich spicy aromas. Aged two years in oak.
